Bookhams Resident Association Bookham Residents Association represents the interest of every resident to ensure that Bookham retains its excellence. It is a powerful voice on the amenities of the village, roads, planning, liaison with the local council, policing and fire protection.

Bookhams' Bulletin The Bookham Community Association was established in 1947 to advance education and provide facilities for the leisure time of the local community. Its main functions are to manage the Old Barn Hall, publish the Bookhams Bulletin four times a year and organise village day and village week held in June of each year.

You can find out about local events such as the Music Festival and Village Day, together with contact details for the many of the clubs, associations and societies that operate in Bookham.

Class Act (Drama) Imagination Productions (Polly's Puppets) have been running Class Act drama classes locally for the last ten years. The aim of the classes is to encourage confidence, social interaction and to stimulate the children's imagination. Children (aged 3 upwards) enjoy work with puppets, improvisation, scripted plays, dance and movement.

Music Clubs At Polesden Lacey, we are very lucky to have a specialist music teacher who teaches music to each class and runs our recorder club. This website gives details of other instruments that are taught through Surrey County Council's visiting tutor scheme. The Violin has been popular in recent years.

Parentcentre This DfES portal aims to help parents and carers access information about their child?s education. It is a good place to start if you want to find general information on school life, the curriculum, your parental rights and more. Don't forget, that you can also ask school staff as well!

Planet Science Planet Science aims to inspire and enthuse young people into learning more about science and enjoying the experience! Their weekly newsletter can be read online or by email.

Show me Show.me.uk is a safe and non-commercial site for kids produced by 24 Hour Museum.

The site has a collection of online games and interactive content produced by the UK's museums and galleries, for children aged 4 to 11.

All content is designed to help kids enjoy and visit galleries and museums.

Star Words (BBC) A space-theme game that provides practice at sight recognition and spelling of the 200 or so high frequency words that are identified in the National Literacy Strategy Framework for Key Stage 1. (Use the control panel to limit these to the words that are required for the Reception Year.)

Surrey School Meals Service My School Lunch is for children and their parents. It contains lots of information about Surrey's school meals service, including sample menus, games and food facts.

Talking Point This is a parent-friendly guide to speech, language and communication development in children and young adults. It also introduces the help that is provided by speech and language therapists to support children who face communication difficulties.

The Beat Machine (BBC) A visual composition tool that introduces track layering to create effects and sounds. There are 6 sound groups to choose from: Low drum, hand drum, bells, fx, pitched and rattle.

The Dolphin Club (after school childcare) The Dolphin Club is a not-for-profit after school club that is based at The Dawnay School. 

Polesden Lacey has close links with The Dolphin Club as it was started at Polesden Lacey by our staff and governors. It is still run by our very own Angela Jones and quite a few of our pupils attend. (Transport to the club is available most days, either with Angela or with parents who have children at both schools.)

However, the club relocated to The Dawnay school a few years later so that it could cater more easily for a wider age range.
