sustainable procurement
To write a draft policy and circulate to members
To explore the ways to develop pupil understanding of sustainable procurement
To explore possibilities of purchasing office supplies from ‘greener’ sources and balance against cost
Recycling
Second hand items
Uniforms – ask Friends to continue to provide regular opportunities for sales
Explore possibilities of second hand sales for women’s clothes and toys e.g. sale or return with some profit to school
Books – continue with ‘grown up books’ include children’s books
Continue with all recycling in school – paper/tetra packs/foil
Visit recycling facilities
To exploit gardens
Apples – pick/gather apples and distribute amongst community
Explore possibility of involving children in weighing and selling apples next year
To continue gardening ‘club’.
Make rota for Spring and Summer. Ensure all CRB checks in place
To establish agreement about use of produce from kitchen staff
To complete greenhouse
To coordinate use of greenhouse. Discussion with current gardening team, KP interested to join team.
Seek advice for ways to ensure the greenhouse does not deteriorate – through newsletter
To ensure wormery is correctly managed
Seek coordinator for composting through newsletter
To raise awareness about litter with children
Organise a second ‘big tidy up’
Ask Green Team to keep school grounds litter free (at lunchtimes)

Continue to pursue installation of wind turbine
Investigate possibility of installing solar panels and obtain 100% grant to do this!
Maintain fall in photocopier paper usage
